We initially both added chops and change ups but never finished it. Fast forward post break up, I ended up revisiting the session after the homie Mecca 83 asked me if I had any unreleased tracks I wanted to submit to our upcoming collab compilation between Expansions Collective and Mellow Orange.\r\n\r\nUpon revisiting the Ableton session, I removed all the parts my ex added and titled the song based on the current popular internet meme floating around at the time...\r\n\r\n\"This could be us, but...\"\r\n\r\nUploaded to Soundcloud per request from Mecca 83 the same day the Cassette was released on June 10th 2015\r\n\r\nhttps://soundcloud.com/dutchmassive/this-could-be-us\r\n\r\nhttps://expansionscollective.bandcamp.com/album/first-light\r\n\r\nand then added to \"Traversal\" which was released Jan 1st 2016.\r\n\r\nThe version you are hearing now, is not the original version used on the \"First Light\" compilation or the digital version of \"Traversal\" but is the version I created for the Cassette release of Traversal, where I fixed some slight timing issues of few chops that no one but me would likely even notice and traded off having crispy dynamics for a more glued together sound.\r\n\r\nand thus, \"This Could Be Us\" was born...
