Backstory:

Created late 2015 in Tampa, FL after multiple sour encounters with much younger, very entitled and ignorant (at the time) artists. I've always done my best to inspire and mentor the next generation but won't hesitate to check them when they are acting foul. Everyone enjoys praise and encouragement, but not everyone handles being told when you are disappointed in them. Felt like a Generational thing at the time, because growing up all my best relationships were with people that just kept it 100%, I can't imagine cutting off my homies who always looked out for me based on them disagreeing with me or calling me out when I needed it. I don't know, Maybe the Golden Era of Boom Bap / Battle Rap made for thicker skin and not taking constructive critique personally or to heart. Either way, there was just too many back to back encounters that made me feel like having a rational conversation was falling on deaf ears, so I just expressed and emoted via song =)

Most of those younger cats have grown up, apologized and mended bridges thankfully. For the ones who held onto resentment, it's all love on my end. <3

and thus.... "Golden" (Generation Gap) was born.
