Made for Iowa, what I planned to be my first solo album, about being placeless in your early/mid 20s, which for me was floating between California and Connecticut, but also about the experiences/stories of the people around me whom I met throughout my journey. Although this song doesn't exclusively or specifically reflect my personal life experience, I hope it accurately depicts what I saw some go through while floating between LA and Hartford.
As soon as I heard the loop looping, it gave me Phil Collins In the Air Tonight vibes and that dictated the direction it went in.
