Backstory:

Created October 16th, 2015 in Tampa Bay, FL.

The energy and intent that went into this track was multi-layered but wasn't over thought. I Basically was coming to terms with unknown declining health issues that were happening while I was eating well and exercising, so there was sarcastic energy and intent from the start.

It was also layered with sarcastic (poke the beehive) energy as it was created during a time in which the meta was flipping classic R&B tracks but either making future bass or predictably simple and dancy so I wanted to take something super soft and seductive and put a more rugged and unpredictable twist on it.

It was also layered with still slightly being in touch with ex at the time who seemed to be struggling and leaning into some destructive escapism. So I wanted to add a bit of meaningful sincerity with the rebellious sarcasm....

Nothing really Crazy as far as backstories goes... This was fun to flip and not overthink.

and thus, Please Take Care (of Yourself) was born.
